Product Overview
Salgard is an Acid Based Eubiotic (ABE) formulated with a blend of formic and propionic acids on a liquid carrier. Designed for monogastric livestock, it helps improve the hygiene of both feed and drinking water by reducing harmful bacteria and inhibiting mould growth.
Containing formic acid, Salgard aids in the control of Campylobacter, Salmonella, E. coli and other gram-negative microorganisms in raw materials and finished feed, while propionic acid helps prevent mould development. By supporting feed and water hygiene, Salgard contributes to improved feed mill biosecurity and encourages the establishment of a healthy gut microbiome, helping maintain animal health and performance.
Recommended application rates:
- Feed & raw materials: 2–12 L per tonne
- Drinking water: 1–12 L per 1,000 L of water
